Look past the dues
Angel groups run on work contributed by members, so most also expect a minimum investment each year and a turn on diligence teams. Those commitments are usually published and can be far larger than the fee: some networks ask for a five-figure minimum annually, and one cohort programme lists no fee at all but expects six figures deployed across deals. Read them together.
Accreditation
Most networks here admit accredited investors only, a legal status defined by income or net worth that governs who may invest in private companies. The threshold varies by country and is a hard gate. A few organisations run a lower-priced learning tier for people who do not yet qualify, giving them education and pitch sessions but not the ability to invest, which is a practical route for a younger family member. Each listing sets out the requirement and what it costs.
