The Conduit is a private members' club in Covent Garden built around a purpose rather than a profession: a community committed to creating a just and sustainable future, convening members to connect, collaborate and build solutions. It occupies four floors on Langley Street and runs more than 150 impact events a year.

It sits in the broader section of this directory because it is a club for people working on social and environmental change, not a family office organisation. For families with a serious philanthropic or impact programme, that distinction is less limiting than it sounds.

Who joins

The membership is deliberately mixed: sustainability professionals, social entrepreneurs and business owners, investors and philanthropists, creatives, industry leaders, non-profit and NGO professionals, civil society leaders and policymakers.

That mix is the design. Most impact conversations happen among people who share a job title, so funders talk to funders and campaigners to campaigners. A club that puts a policymaker, a founder and a family philanthropist in the same room is trying to close a gap that conferences rarely close.

How membership works

Five categories, organised by what a member does rather than by how much they pay: climate professionals; entrepreneurs, business owners and freelancers; sustainability professionals; impact investors and funders; and general membership.

Sorting members by field rather than by tier is unusual and tells you something about the intent. It also means a family's philanthropic staff and a family principal would likely join under different categories.

The Conduit does not publish rates on its public membership page, so pricing comes on application.

What members get

Access to the club itself, a working and hosting space in central London, plus the events programme, which at 150 or more a year including conferences, panels, workshops and talks is substantially more than a club would run if the programme were incidental.

The value for a family office is specific rather than general. If your family funds work in climate, health, education or social enterprise, this is a place where the people running those organisations actually are, in an informal setting, without the transactional framing of a pitch meeting. Understanding a field before writing cheques into it is difficult to do from a foundation office, and easier over lunch with people who work in it.

For a family with no impact programme, this is a pleasant London club with a lot of talks and little else to recommend it over the alternatives.
