67 Pall Mall is a group of private members' clubs founded by wine lovers for wine lovers. The London club opened in 2015 in a Grade II listed building designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1929, and it anchors what is now a global group.

This is a lifestyle club, not a professional network, which is why it sits in the broader section of this directory rather than among the peer groups.

Who joins

Wine enthusiasts, and the membership skews toward internationally mobile executives, investors and business owners because that is who can use a club with locations on several continents.

Applicants need sponsorship from an existing member, though the club states its membership team will help identify a sponsor for people who do not know one. That is a softer barrier than most sponsored clubs apply.

How membership works

The full price list is published, which is unusual for a London club and one of the reasons this entry earns its place.

Annual membership is £2,750 with a £2,000 joining fee. Three reduced categories run at £1,250: under 30, wine professionals, and overseas members, the last two still carrying the £2,000 joining fee while the under 30 rate includes it. Joint membership is £600 per person. Life membership is £35,000 with no joining fee.

One point matters more than the prices. Membership is global, not local. Joining in London makes you a member of every club in the group, currently Singapore, Verbier, Hong Kong, Beaune, Melbourne and Shanghai, with Bordeaux opening, and of all future locations. You do not need, and should not buy, separate memberships for the clubs listed elsewhere in this directory.

The life membership at £35,000 is the one to examine if you expect to use the group for decades. Against £2,750 a year it breaks even in about thirteen years, without accounting for future increases.

What members get

More than 1,000 wines by the glass and close to 5,000 bottles from 42 countries, held in a cellar kept at 13 to 14 degrees and 65 to 70 per cent humidity, with an award-winning sommelier team. The London club runs a members' lounge, a clubroom and curated art exhibitions, alongside a continuous programme of tastings, masterclasses and dining.

For a family office reader the honest framing is that this is a place to entertain, to host people you want to know better, and to use as a base in several cities on one membership. Business conversations happen here as a byproduct rather than by design, which for some people is precisely the appeal.
