Annual one-day specialist event in Singapore; around 70 family offices attend.

SuperReturn Family Office Asia is a one-day event held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore, run by Informa Connect as part of its SuperReturn series. Around seventy family offices attend. It is the most tightly defined event of its kind in Asia, and the access rule is the reason.

Who attends

Informa states the restriction plainly: the event is open only to family office principals, next-generation family offices and family office investment executives from single family offices, subject to qualification. Multi-family offices, fund managers and advisers are not admitted through the delegate route.

That is a stricter definition than almost anything else in this directory. Most events that describe themselves as family office meetings mean the wider ecosystem, with families as one part of a mixed audience. This one means single family offices and screens for it. Attendee lists from recent editions have carried names such as NF Trinity, the Kuok Group and Wellco Capital, which gives a sense of the level.

How access works

Attendance is complimentary for those who qualify. There is no delegate fee at all for family office principals and investment executives who pass the check. Applications go by email to Informa's family office team rather than through an open registration page.

This is worth understanding as a business model rather than as generosity. SuperReturn is a private capital business, and a screened room of seventy family offices has commercial value to Informa's wider franchise. The families are the reason the event exists, so they are not charged. Anyone who is not a qualifying single family office should not expect a route in.

What attendees get

A single day covering portfolio construction, governance and succession, selecting managers, impact investing and passing wealth to the next generation. The agenda deliberately mixes investment mechanics with the family questions that sit around them, rather than treating the office as a small institutional allocator.

Networking is built into the structure rather than added on: breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch and a closing drinks reception all serve as scheduled contact time, which in a room of seventy makes it realistic to meet a meaningful share of the other attendees.

For a single family office in Asia, the combination of no fee, a screened room and a one-day commitment makes this one of the easiest events on the regional calendar to justify trying.
