PCD Club, short for the Private Client Dining Club, connects international private wealth professionals. It is a networking membership built around dinners rather than conferences, and the format is the whole idea: a shared meal produces conversations that a lecture theatre does not.
Who joins
The badge on this listing marks it as an advisers and professionals network, and that is exactly right. PCD is for private client advisers and private wealth professionals: the lawyers, trustees, bankers, tax specialists and family office executives who work around wealthy families.
Family principals are not the target audience. A family looking for a peer group of other families should look at the single family office networks in this directory instead. What PCD offers a family office is different and still useful: its executives can meet, in a relaxed setting, the specialists they may later need to appoint, and can do so before there is a live mandate and a sales conversation attached.
How membership works
Membership is paid, with guest access available for individual events. Despite the club publishing an extensive events calendar, no membership levels or prices appear on the public site, so terms have to come from the club directly.
That is worth flagging, because our research initially recorded PCD as publishing its packages. On review it does not. Anyone budgeting should ask rather than assume a figure.
What members get
The calendar is dense and geographically spread. Networking dinners run regularly across Geneva, Zurich, Guernsey, Manchester and London, typically running from early evening to about ten o'clock. An annual conference takes place in October as a full working day. A NextGen winter edition serves younger professionals in the field.
The spread across Guernsey, Manchester and the Swiss cities, rather than London alone, is what makes the club useful. Guernsey and Zurich are where a great deal of private wealth is actually structured and administered, and Manchester serves a substantial regional client base that London-centric networks overlook.
For an adviser, this is a straightforward business development network with an unusually civilised format. For a family office executive, it is a way to build a bench of specialists across jurisdictions without sitting through a conference to do it.
