Events
Two-day Singapore summit at the Grand Hyatt, with a separate Partners Forum day.

The Global-Asia Family Office Summit is Singapore's flagship gathering for the family office sector. It is run by the Wealth Management Institute, an academic and training body, and carries backing from the Singapore Economic Development Board and the Monetary Authority of Singapore. That public-sector support is unusual and reflects Singapore's stated policy of attracting family offices to the country.

Who attends

The summit draws family office principals, single family office professionals, sovereign wealth investors and a curated group of partners and advisers spanning private banking, wealth management, asset management, trust services, law, tax and philanthropy.

The programme is split. The main summit is aimed at principals and the people who run their offices. A separate Partners Forum day is described by the organiser as a gathering for family office partners and advisers, and the organiser is explicit that principals are not the invited participants for that part. Anyone deciding what to attend should check which track a ticket covers.

How access works

Registration is online, and every registration is reviewed before it is confirmed. Walk-ins are not admitted, so a confirmed place has to be secured in advance.

Pricing is published for the Partners Forum but not for principals. Partner and adviser rates run at SGD 1,350 early bird and SGD 1,500 standard, with a group rate of SGD 1,200 for five tickets or more. Singapore citizens and permanent residents working for regulated or certified financial firms may qualify for IBF funding support, which cuts the fee substantially and is tied to age band. Family office principals should ask the organiser directly, since no rate for them appears on the site.

GFO Circle, the institute's family office community, gives members access to research, curated events and education, and preferential rates at the summit. For an office planning to be in Singapore regularly, the membership is worth pricing alongside the ticket.

What attendees get

Two days of keynotes, plenaries and longer masterclasses covering geopolitics, governance, deploying capital and where investment is heading. Recent editions have run under the theme of putting legacy into action.

The reason to prioritise this one over the many other Singapore events is the institutional backing. When the country's investment promotion agency and its central bank stand behind a summit, the policy people and the regulators are in the room, not only the commercial sector. For a family weighing whether to establish or expand a Singapore office, that access is the point.
