Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN)

AVPN calls itself Asia's largest platform for social impact, with more than 700 resource providers, innovators and intermediaries across 43 markets working to mobilise capital. It is a network of organisations rather than individuals, and family foundations and family offices sit inside it alongside corporate funders, development agencies and social enterprises.

Who joins

Membership is at organisational level. The relevant members for this directory are family foundations, family offices, impact investors and philanthropic families deploying capital toward social outcomes.

The badge on this listing marks it as an impact and philanthropy network, which is what it is. AVPN is not a general family office peer group, and a family with no philanthropic or impact programme will find little use in it. For a family that has one, it is the main organised route into the Asian field.

How membership works

AVPN is changing its structure, so check which model applies when you enquire. The existing tiers, Vision, Catalyst and Knowledge, run to the end of 2026, and each carries a different level of access, staff seats and conference privileges.

From 2027 a simpler pair replaces them. Discovery is a free tier for capital and resource providers wanting to see what is available. Vantage costs USD 10,000 a year and is aimed at organisations providing, deploying or mobilising capital that want strategic support and partnerships.

A free entry tier is genuinely useful. A family foundation can join at no cost, see whether the network reaches the fields and countries it cares about, and only pay if it does.

What members get

Under the current tiers, the senior levels carry premium conference access, an annual dinner, closed roundtables through the year, introductions through AVPN's market representatives, priority speaking slots, access to its impact assessment dashboard and collaboration platform, discounted training, and up to ten staff seats. Lower tiers narrow the seats and the access rather than removing them.

The programme itself runs the annual AVPN Global Conference, regional summits, academy fellowships and training, webinars, and thematic work on climate, gender, health and youth, alongside policy engagement.

The distinguishing feature is geographic. Philanthropy networks are plentiful in the United States and Europe and thin across Asia, and AVPN is the one that covers 43 markets from Singapore. For a family giving in the region, that coverage is the point, and the free tier makes testing it easy.
