The Private Family Capital Summit is Family Office Exchange's investment-focused meeting, aimed at how families put private capital to work. FOX has been a membership organisation for family offices for decades, and this summit sits inside a year-round member programme rather than standing alone as a conference anyone can buy into.
Who attends
The audience is independent wealth owners, family office executives, members of enterprising families and the advisers those families work with. Third-party listings of recent editions have put attendance above 300, with more than half of that number coming from the family and investor side.
The event's centre of gravity is direct and private investing: families that make their own deals, back funds selectively, or want to compare notes with others doing the same. That focus is narrower than a general family office forum and is the reason to choose it.
How access works
Membership is the gate. FOX members can attend the forums and events across the annual calendar, and members have to qualify against FOX's own criteria before joining. Non-members are not shut out entirely: FOX opens its workshops, public webcasts and virtual showcases to them, and allows participation in selected forums, so there is a way to sample the organisation before committing to membership.
FOX does not publish a price for the summit or for membership on its events page. A third-party calendar listed the summit at roughly US$2,850 to US$3,200 for a recent edition. That figure is an outside estimate rather than an organiser's published rate, and it should be treated as a rough guide only. Confirm current terms with FOX, and ask about membership separately, since the summit price and the annual membership are different questions.
What attendees get
Sessions on private capital deployment alongside structured time with other member families. Many FOX programmes carry continuing professional education credits, which matters to the accountants, lawyers and investment professionals who work inside family offices and have to log them.
The wider argument for the summit is the argument for FOX itself. A single conference gives you two days. A membership gives you a year of forums, research and peer contact, with this summit as the investment anchor of it. Families that attend once and find the room useful usually end up weighing the membership rather than the ticket, which is how FOX intends the summit to work.
