The Family Office Forum London is a two-day event run by Prestel & Partner for single family offices, business families and wealth owners based in the UK and abroad. It takes place at the Corinthia London and gathers more than 100 family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals each year. The organiser has run the London edition for fourteen years and publishes the agenda and a written report for every edition back to 2014.

Who attends

Prestel & Partner sort applicants with a single question: do you have an offering for the audience, or not? Family principals, senior family office executives and wealth owners who are not selling anything join as guests. Anyone with something to sell, whether that is a financial product, a service, a co-investment opportunity, advisory work or a commercial multi-family office, pays to attend or sponsors. People who do both are assessed one at a time, on what they mainly do and on how other guests will see them.

The point of the rule is stated plainly on the forum page: at every event there are more family office decision makers in the room, and on the stage, than people with something to sell.

The organiser defines a genuine principal or family office as one holding at least 150 million in assets and working for one family or a few, rather than serving many outside clients. The London page quotes that figure in pounds in one place and in US dollars in another, and the attendance rules set a minimum entry level of 120 million euros, so check the current threshold with the organiser before applying.

How access works

Qualifying families and wealth owners email the organiser and attend free. Providers register online. The published rates are £2,990 plus 20% VAT for a one-day delegate pass and £4,490 plus VAT for both days.

Paying is not enough on its own. The organiser states that there is no automatic right to attend or to sponsor, that every application is reviewed individually, and that the number of provider passes is capped to protect the balance of the room.

What attendees get

The programme is built on panels and open discussion across governance and investment, with most speakers drawn from families and their offices. Networking runs through the whole day rather than being squeezed into breaks, and sales pitches from the floor are not allowed.

Privacy is part of the offer. Attendee details are not shared with other guests or with partners, and Prestel & Partner take no part in any conversation that follows the event. For anyone weighing up whether the content is worth the time, the published agendas and post-event reports going back more than a decade are the fairest guide.
