The East Coast Family Office & High Net Worth Conference is the oldest event in the DC Finance conference series and its New York anchor. More than twenty editions have been held, and recent ones have run at Sky Loft at 50 Hudson Yards. The organiser aims it at ultra-high-net-worth individuals and single family offices, and frames the content around long-term capital preservation, direct investing and generational wealth strategy.

Who attends

DC Finance describes the audience as decision makers from single family offices, private investors and wealthy families. That is a statement of intent rather than a screened guarantee. The conference does not publish an eligibility test, an asset threshold or a limit on how many places go to firms selling into the room, and commercial partners take part alongside families. Treat it as an industry conference with a strong family office presence, not a closed peer group.

That distinction matters when you are choosing between events. A screened forum controls who is in the room and charges providers for the privilege. An open conference like this one gives you a wider cross-section, including advisers and managers you may want to meet, but you cannot assume the person next to you is another principal.

How access works

Registration is open online through a link on the conference site. DC Finance does not publish ticket prices for this conference, and there is no stated distinction between family office rates and provider rates. Anyone budgeting for it will need to ask the organiser. The company runs its registration through a central portal and has offices in New York and London.

What attendees get

The programme is deliberately wide. A single day moves through financial market outlooks, real estate, technology and alternative investments, estate planning, family business dynamics, women's entrepreneurship, philanthropy and impact investing, and art and legacy planning. Sessions are short and the speaker list runs long, which favours breadth over depth.

For a family office in the north east, the practical case is proximity and range. One day in Manhattan covers most of the topics a small office deals with in a year, and the mix of subjects makes it a reasonable event to send a next-generation family member to when you want them to see the whole field rather than one corner of it.

DC Finance runs sister conferences in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami and London under the same format, so anyone who finds the approach useful has several other chances at it during the year.
