Somos22 runs small, invitation-only gatherings for family office principals and professional managers, built on the argument that the sector has enough conferences and not enough trust. Its own phrase for what it builds is Connection Capital, the compounding value of relationships formed through shared experience rather than transaction.
Who takes part
Invitations go to principals and professional managers of family offices, chiefly single family offices. The conversations aim at the decisions without easy answers: judgment, governance, stewardship and succession.
There are no sponsors and no stages. A third-party attendee describes the events as confidential and solicitation-free, and the organisers describe the format as no agenda, no speaker, no content, just connection. In a category where most events fill the room with service providers, that is the distinguishing design choice.
How access works
The network is invite-only. Non-members ask for access through a short confidential inquiry form on the site. No qualification criteria or pricing are published, so the composition of any given gathering is something to ask about when you inquire.
Two disclosures are worth knowing. First, both co-founders, Tim Brown and Brian C. Adams, run commercial family-office service businesses of their own, in advisory and executive search. Second, Somos22 is the entry layer of a two-tier structure: a separate invitation-only membership community, Fortaleza Network, sits above it as what the founders call the depth layer. Neither publishes fees.
What participants get
The formats are deliberately small and varied: Coffee Connects with no programme at all, Jeffersonian dinners where the whole table holds one conversation, Needs and Leads sessions, hundred-year-out dinners on succession, moderated luncheons, seasonal receptions and the confidential Catalyst22 roundtables added in 2026.
By its own count the network has run more than fifty gatherings across eighteen cities since founding in 2024, reaching over a thousand family office attendees, with the 2026 programme concentrated in North America. Those figures are self-reported, but the format claims are consistent across every account we found, including from attendees.
For a family office that wants peers rather than pitches, this is one of the cleaner designs in this directory. The right comparison is the closed formats of the other peer networks here, not any conference.
